Seat Distribution Criteria for Admission at CMC Vellore 

The seat allocation process at CMC Vellore follows a 50-50 rule:

50% Management Quota: The college management will directly select 50% of the seats through similar procedures followed in the earlier academic years by the college on the basis of inter-se merit as per the NEET results. Consists of Open seats, Network Minority seats together with CMC Vellore Staff Quota seats based on NEET (UG) 2025 rank.

50% Government Quota: The State Government will select 50% of seats through their state merit ranking in NEET examination in the following manner:

• The State Government will choose 30% of seats in accordance with its reservation guidelines that strictly follow the NEET merit list.
• The State Government must allocate 20% of available seats to Christian minority candidates from the State strictly in accordance with the NEET merit list.

Eligibility Criteria

• You must reach the minimum age of 17 by 31st December 2025.
• To enroll you must achieve at least the 50th percentile in NEET UG 2025.
• As per TN Government and University guidelines, a candidate for admission to the medical course must have secured passing marks in Physics, Chemistry,  Biology/Biotechnology and English from their 12th standard and achieve a minimum 50% aggregate score (40% for reserved categories).
• Students who passed any qualifying examination other than the Higher Secondary course examination conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu, CBSE & CISCE in India must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University.
